Why should you study Data analytics in Amsterdam

Global tech hubAmsterdam has earned its reputation as a global technology hub – over 90% of Dutch data analytics companies call it home. But so do many educational institutes that teach students how to interpret and analyze the big and small data collected by these businesses. In fact, since 2010 the 70-hectare Amsterdam Science Park has grown into the locus for over 120 research institutions and businesses. Altogether, Amsterdam has become Europe’s largest center for science education and research, as well as entrepreneurship for tech and green business.
Open source City DataYou heard that right – Amsterdam has made its City Data open source. Not only can everyone access this information, but anyone can add even more datasets to the collection. Available online, City Data is easy to search, download or link to your own system.
Spark+AI SummitAmong Amsterdam’s countless tech and data conferences is the Spark + AI Summit, the largest data and machine learning conference in Europe! You can collaborate with over 1,700 data scientists, engineers and analysts at the world’s intersection of data and machine learning.

Is your electricity consumption 20–20–20?

20% increase of energy efficiency, 20% decrease in CO2 emissions, and 20% of energy production from renewable sources, all by 2020: a challenging goal to meet. Ingrid was inspired to analyze Spain’s electricity consumption in order to determine whether or not we are on the path toward a more sustainable rate of electricity consumption. She found some particularly interesting patterns that we are following as users!
